Ice Tea Coasters

I love hot tea on cold winter nights. In the summer though, there are very few things that can beat an icy cold Ice Tea. It is so good and refreshing. Today I made my own from Lipton's peach and mango tea bags. It turned out so good. I also got to use my new coasters, they are very summery too, which I love.

I kind of made these by mistake after using the wrong color when I was working on another project. I ended up liking these so much more!

I love the colors and I have made a bunch to use in the kitchen and on the patio this summer.

Here is the pattern with pictures:
Ch 3 in magic loop.

Then dc2tog (Yo, pick up yarn through loop, yo, pull through 2, you should now have 2 loops on hook)

Yo, pick up yarn through loop, yo, pull through 2, you chould now have 3 loops on hook. yo, pull through all 3.

Ch 3 and it should look like the picture

Dc3tog this time. It works the same above, only now you have 3 dc and you will have to pull through 4.

It should now look like this. Ch 3 and make 2 more flower petals, ch 3.

Sl. st in third ch.  It should look like this when finished.

Pull on magic loop string to close the middle.

Change color and ch 3, then 4 dc in ch.space. Go to next ch.sp. 5dc. Repeat 2 more times, sl.st in 3rd ch.

It should look like this.

Change color and ch 3. 1 dc. Then 2 dc in each dc stitch on previous row. You should end up with 40. Sl.st in 3rd ch

Attach new color. Ch 4, skip 2 dc, sl.st. in 3rd dc. Repeat until end of row.

It should look like this.

Then 5 sc in each ch. sp. until end. Sl.st in last stitch. B.o.

Attach yarn in middle stitch (see above). Ch 5.

Sl.st. in middle stitch. Continue until end.

It should look like this. Sl.st. where you attached the yarn in the beginning.
6 sc in each ch sp. Sl.st. in the middle. (see above) Continue until end.
When finished, don't forget blocking. I pin it to a board like this and spray it with water and then leave it over night.
It should then look something like this. Happy Crocheting!
