Winter Sunshine Pillow

In Sweden we endure the long, endless darkness of winter. This year we haven't had a lot of snow and it has been even darker than usual. Last week it started snowing for real, and it has snowed every day since. Yesterday we had a wonderful sunny day and I went cross country skiing close to our house.

I love that pale sunshine on a winter afternoon.

I found this really nice Granny Square on the blog Raad met draad.

I made 9 of them from a yarn I found in a Second Hand Shop. The color reminds me of that pale, yellow sunshine.

I sewed them together, added a single crochet border and made it into a pillow.

I love the way it turned out.  Both Jeff and the kids have requested more of them, so I guess I have to try to find a similar kind of yarn since I used it all.
